INTRODUCTION
SPEI
INSTITUATION FOR FASHION & PROFESSIONAL EDIFICATION (SPEI),
under the aegis of SPEI has emerged as Pakistan’s Largest
Vocational Training Network for the Apparel Sector with around 6
SPEI Vocational Institutes in Southern Punjab, Multan and Tuansa.
Now SPEI is going to expand its scope by opening new institute
campuses in Lahore, Narowal, Muzzafergarh and DG Khan Districts
– SPEI also going to start SMART Mobile Training Centres and
Skill Campuses for under develop areas of South Punjab and
Baluchistan Areas adjacent to South Punjab.
The SPEI
INSTITUATION FOR FASHION & PROFESSIONAL EDIFICATION (SPEI) is a
registered as Institute with Security Exchange Commission of
Pakistan, SPEI is also registered with Technical Education &
Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) and National Vocational &
Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and Punjab Skills
Development Fund (PSDF) with the mission to upgrade the
technical skills of the human resources of Pakistan.
SPEI is
Pakistan Apparel Sector’s preferred source for skilled shop
floor workforce and different tiers of professional in profiles
such as * Sewing Machine Operator * Pattern Engineer *Machine
Technicians/ Mechanics, * Surface Ornamentation Specialists *
Apparel Production Supervisors * Quality Controllers *
Industrial Engineers, etc.
SPEI has
already trained 6000 plus Trainees (2009- 2016) has transformed
lives by providing gainful employment to youth, women &
disadvantaged sections of the society.
SPEI has
emerged as the largest Vocational Training Provider with a
leading position in the vocational education space in South
Punjab being Trading Service Provider / Partner of Punjab Skill
Development Fund (PSDF) of Government of Punjab and National
Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC).
SPEI SMART
SPEI ’s
proactive efforts through creation of BRAND ‘SMART’ is an
acronym (Skills for Manufacturing of Apparels & Textiles through
Research and Training) & SMART Fast-Track shop floor workforce
training programs under the SPEI there has been a visible
improvement on the ground.
In this Initiatives SPEI is going to start contribution to the
Apparel export manufacturing industry which has been facing
shortage of skilled workforce and technical personnel.

The candidates’
profiles of SPEI -SMART training programs indicate 85% women and
about 79% candidates from rural and semi urban areas and over
75% have been working in industry and remaining working in
domestic industry units/ self-help groups and rest opting for
self-employment.
SPEI Vocational Institute in collaboration with PIDC
The SPEI
Vocational Institutes form an important part of the training
eco-system in order to mainstream vocational education and to
provide “modularity and certification” to the students enrolled
in SPEI Centres, SPEI has established 6 Vocational Institutes as
"JV" with PIDC, Ministry of Industries & Production, Government
of Pakistan.
SPEI s long-term
training courses address Critical knowledge and skill-sets
required for the apparel sector Makes the candidates
‘Industry-Ready’ right from the start Assure 100% knowledge
assistance to potential/willing students.
SPEI signed MOU with country's highest technical education
Statutory Authority TEVTA (Ministry of Industries, Government of
Punjab) for course of Industrial Stitching Machine Operator of
Apparel and Textiles Sector.
SPEI has been
encouraged by many eminent personalities who have walked the
SPEI corridors pan-Pakistan and encouraged the teams. SPEI also
in the last 5 years launched many significant initiatives like
SPEI –Training & Development Centre, Women Focused Training
Programs.
SPEI is advancing
forward on the agenda to ‘Target, Train, Transform‘ with focus
on “employability”, especially for school dropouts, less
educated youth, women, disadvantaged section of the society,
differently abled, rural, semi urban, special section of
societies etc.
SPEI gives a new
direction and thrust to skill development in the labor-intensive
apparel sector that operates in a globally competitive
environment.
